Dock O' Treat 2026
Saturday, September 12, 2026 • 12:00 to 3:00 PM
Trick-or-treating by boat — decorate your dock, hand out the candy, wave the boats in
How it works
Families cruise Webster Lake dock to dock in costume, and the kids collect candy along the way. It is one of the simplest days we run and one of the kids' favorites — and what makes it work is the shoreline.
You do not need a boat to take part. If you have a dock, a wall, or a stretch of shoreline, that is all it takes. Decorate it, put out a bowl of candy, and be there between 12:00 and 3:00 PM to greet the boats as they come by.
Have a boat instead? Load up the kids, decorate the boat, and make the loop. Costumes strongly encouraged for crew of all ages.
North Pond — we need you 🙋
Fourteen docks have signed up so far, and they are not spread out evenly. North Pond is where we always come up short, and when there is only one dock up there, the boats have little reason to make the trip — which means the North Pond kids miss out on their own end of the lake.
If you are on North Pond — or you know a neighbor up there who would be game — this is the year to jump in. A few docks together makes the whole end of the lake worth the run.
Signing up your dock
Send a quick note to DockOTreat@gmail.com with your name and roughly where you are on the lake. Knowing which docks are taking part is how we route the boats so nobody gets missed.
Dock counts as of August 28, 2026.
🏆 The (very cheesy) awards are back
We are handing out awards again this year in two categories. They are cheesy. That is the whole point.
Best Decorated Dock
Cobwebs, skeletons, fog machines, a scarecrow in a life jacket — whatever you have got. Go all in.
Best Decorated Boat
Pontoons, bowriders, kayaks — if it floats and it is decorated, it counts. Costumed crews score points.
Winners will be featured on our website and Facebook page after the event.
📸 Send us your photos
We will have a few boats out on the water taking pictures, but they cannot cover the whole lake in three hours — and the best shots are usually the ones taken from the dock as the boats pull up.
Send yours to DockOTreat@gmail.com and we will add them to the event gallery. Photos are also how we judge the awards, so if you decorated, get a picture of it to us.
One email for everything: signing up your dock, sending photos, and asking questions all go to DockOTreat@gmail.com.
